AISI 4140 seamless alloy pipe is a high-strength alloy structural steel of the US standard, and its corresponding ISO grade is 42CrMo4. After quenching and tempering, it has a high fatigue limit and resistance to multiple impacts, as well as good low-temperature impact toughness.
AISI 4140 seamless pipe is usually used to manufacture large and medium-sized plastic molds that require certain strength and toughness.
42CrMo seamless pipe is another high-strength alloy structural steel, which is similar to 42CrMo4 in composition and performance. 42CrMo steel pipe has high strength and hardenability, good toughness, small deformation during quenching, high creep strength and endurance strength at high temperature. It is often used to manufacture forgings that require higher strength and larger quenching and tempering sections than 35CrMo steel.
42CrMo4 seamless steel pipe is also often used to manufacture oil deep well drill pipe joints and salvage tools.
