USES OF ALLOY STEEL PIPES

1. Petroleum, chemical industry, natural gas and other fields
Alloy steel pipe is an important supporting equipment in the fields of petroleum, chemical industry, natural gas and other fields. Its strength and corrosion resistance play an important role in ensuring the safety of pipeline transportation. In oil extraction and transportation, alloy steel pipes are often used in drilling, oil well casing, gas production pipelines, gas reservoir storage equipment, pipeline transportation equipment, etc. In the fields of oil refining, chemical industry, fertilizer, etc., alloy steel pipes are often used in chemical reactors, ethylene towers, distillation towers, separation towers and other equipment under high temperature and high pressure conditions.
2. Machinery, automobile, aerospace and other fields
Alloy steel pipes are also widely used in machinery, automobiles, aerospace and other fields. In the mechanical field, alloy steel pipes are often used as bearings, drive shafts, shock absorbing springs, pneumatic and hydraulic components. In the automotive field, alloy steel pipes are used to manufacture high-pressure oil pipes, fuel injectors, exhaust pipes, etc. In the aerospace field, alloy steel pipes are used to manufacture high-pressure gas supply systems, hydraulic systems, engines, etc.

DELIVERY

Steel pipe delivery status(condition)

Steel pipe delivery status(condition): cold / hard (BK), cold / soft (BKW), after cold stress relief annealing (BKS), annealing (GBK), normalized (NBK).

Condition on delivery of steel pipe

Term Symbol Explanation
Cold-finished/hard (cold-finished as-drawn) BK No heat treatment after the last cold-forming process. The tubes therefore have only low deformability.
Cold-finished/soft (lightly cold-worked) BKW After the last heat treatment there is a light finishing pass (cold drawing) With proper subsequent processing, the tube can be cold-formed (e.g. bent, expanded) within certain limits.
Annealed GBK After the final cold-forming process the tubes are annealed in a controlled atmosphere or under vacuum.
Normalized NBK The tubes are annealed above the upper transformation point in a controlled atmosphere or under vacuum.

GNEE PACKAGING AND SHIPPING

Bare packed/bundled packed/crate packed/tubes with wooden protection on both sides and suitably protected for sea shipping or as per requirement.

Install plastic caps on both sides of the pipe ends
Damage caused by bundling and transportation should be avoided
Bundling signs should be uniform and consistent
The same bundle (batch) of steel pipes should come from the same furnace.
The steel pipes have the same furnace number, the same steel grade, and the same specifications.

Usually bundled and packed with strong metal strips;
Packed naked or packed in woven bags or puppet films, or placed in wooden boxes;
If not in bundles we put the tubes in tubes or single tubes,
If the pipe length is ≤5.8m, load it into a 20' container,
If the length of the pipe is ≤11.8m, load it into a 40' container,
If the pipe length is > 11.8m, it is loaded on board in bulk FILO terms.

FAQ

Q:What is the difference between A106 and A333 pipe?
A:The difference between ASTM A333 and ASTM A106 is that ASTM A333 is a low-temperature carbon steel pipe that can be used as a structural pipe, while ASTM A106 is a non-structural carbon pipe that is used in high-temperature applications.

Q:What is A335 pipe?
A:A335/SA335 P5 is a seamless ferritic alloy-steel pipe used for high-temperature applications. These pipes are versatile and can be used to transmit water, oil and natural gas. Key to the composition of chrome moly alloy P5 is the addition of chromium and molybdenum.

Q:What is ASTM A213?
A:Astm A213 Material Standard Specifications Covers The Seamless Ferritic & Austenitic Steel Boiler, Super Heaters And Heat Exchanger Tubes. The Process Of Manufacturing These Tubes Are Seamless Process And Also Designed In Hot Finished & Cold Finished As Preferred For The Customer's Application Demands.
