API 5L X56 specification covers welded pipes, ERW pipes and seamless pipes, which are mainly used for oil and gas transportation.
X56 pipes produced by GNEE are available in two product grades, namely PSL1 and PSL2.
API 5L X56m PSL2 and PLS1 grades are available in both seamless and welded pipes.
API X56 carbon steel line pipe has a minimum yield strength of 386 MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 489 MPa.
API 5L X56 PSL2 welded pipes are subjected to a bend test before leaving the factory to ensure that there are no cracks on the pipe body. For API 5L X56 PSL2 grade epoxy coated pipes, the coating can be done internally, externally or a combination of both. API 5L grade X56 PSL1 pipes Sour service pipes are available with different types of coatings such as hot-dip galvanizing or cold-dip galvanizing, black paint, anti-corrosion oil, etc.
