API 5DP E75 Drill Pipe Description
API 5DP standard was developed by the American Petroleum Institute (API) to regulate the technical requirements and quality control of drill pipe and fittings. The standard mainly covers the requirements for drill pipe dimensions, materials, chemical composition, mechanical properties, processing, and testing methods to ensure that drill pipe can be used safely and reliably under complex working conditions.
API 5DP E75 drill pipe is the lower grade of the API 5DP drill pipe series, with a minimum yield strength of 75,000 pounds per square inch (psi), and its main function is to transmit torque and transport drilling fluids.
