ASTM A135 specifies two grades of ERW steel pipes: A and B. Both require the steel pipes to be made of carbon steel and produced by electric resistance welding process. Using hot rolled coil as raw material, the wall thickness of ERW steel pipes is uniform and can be controlled at about ±0.2mm. It is mainly used to transport gas, steam, water or other liquids.
ASTM A135 welded steel pipes have a wide range of sizes, covering a variety of specifications from NPS 2 to NPS 30, as well as different wall thickness and length options.
