Carbon Seamless Steel Pipe
What is carbon steel pipe?
The main components of carbon steel pipe are carbon and iron, with a carbon content of 0.04% to 2.3%. In addition to carbon and iron, carbon steel also contains some other elements, such as manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, etc. The content of these elements will vary according to different standards and requirements. For example, some carbon steel pipes with special requirements may also contain small amounts of chromium, nickel and other elements.
According to different carbon contents, carbon steel pipes can be divided into low carbon steel pipes, medium carbon steel pipes and high carbon steel pipes. Different carbon contents affect the hardness, strength and durability of the pipe. In addition, carbon steel pipes can also be classified according to the process structure and usage scenarios of the pipe, such as welded pipes, seamless pipes, turned pipes, pressure pipes, etc.
What are the characteristics of carbon steel pipes?
1. High strength: Seamless steel pipe has high strength and hardness and can withstand greater pressure and load.
2. Corrosion resistance: Seamless carbon pipes can be treated with galvanizing, spraying and other anti-corrosion treatments to improve their corrosion resistance and extend their service life.
3. High temperature resistance: Carbon seamless steel pipe can work in high temperature environments and has good heat resistance.
4. Good plasticity and weldability: Seamless carbon steel pipes are easy to process into various shapes and can be connected by welding and other methods for easy installation and use.
What is the use of carbon steel pipes?
Carbon steel pipes are often used to transport liquids, gases, solid powders and other substances. In industries such as petrochemical, chemical, electric power, and metallurgy, carbon steel pipes are often used to transport oil, natural gas, water, steam and other media. In the fields of construction, bridges, highways, etc., carbon steel pipes are also widely used to transport water, drainage, gas, etc.
Carbon steel pipes are also often used to manufacture machinery, equipment, automobiles and other parts. Carbon steel pipes have high strength and good corrosion resistance, making them very suitable for manufacturing mechanical parts. At the same time, the low cost of carbon steel pipes also makes it an important material for manufacturing automobile parts.

carbon alloy steel pipes

Carbon steel pipes are divided into two categories: hot-rolled and cold-rolled (drawn) steel pipes:
Hot-rolled carbon steel pipes are divided into general steel pipes, low and medium pressure boiler steel pipes, high pressure boiler steel pipes, alloy steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, petroleum cracking pipes, geological steel pipes and other steel pipes.
In addition to general steel pipes, low- and medium-pressure boiler steel pipes, high-pressure boiler steel pipes, alloy steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, petroleum cracking pipes, and other steel pipes, cold-rolled (rolled) carbon steel pipes also include carbon thin-walled steel pipes, alloy thin-walled steel pipes, and stainless steel pipes. Rusty thin-walled steel pipes, special-shaped steel pipes. The outer diameter of hot-rolled seamless steel pipes is generally greater than 32mm, and the wall thickness is 2.5-75mm. The outer diameter of cold-rolled seamless steel pipes can be up to 6mm, and the wall thickness can be up to 0.25mm. The outer diameter of thin-walled pipes can be up to 5mm, and the wall thickness is less than 0.25mm. Cold rolling has higher dimensional accuracy than hot rolling.
General carbon steel pipe: It is made of hot-rolled or cold-rolled high-quality carbon steel such as 10, 20, 30, 35, 45, 16Mn, 5MnV and other low-alloy structural steel or 40Cr, 30CrMnSi, 45Mn2, 40MnB and other alloy steel. Seamless pipes made of 10 and 20 grade low carbon steel are mainly used for fluid transportation pipelines. Seamless tubes made of medium carbon steel such as 45 and 40Cr are used to manufacture mechanical parts, such as stressed parts of automobiles and tractors. Generally, carbon steel pipes must ensure strength and flattening tests. Hot-rolled steel pipes are delivered in a hot-rolled or heat-treated state; cold-rolled steel pipes are delivered in a heat-treated state.
