EN10208 Seamless Pipe Description
EN 10208 is a European technical standard for steel pipes for the transport of combustible fluids, which specifies the material properties, manufacturing processes, and testing requirements for steel pipes. The standard is divided into several classes, including Class A and Class B, with EN 10208-2 specifically dedicated to Class B pipes for high-risk scenarios, such as oil and gas transport. EN 10208-2 is specifically for class B pipes, which are suitable for high-risk scenarios, such as oil and gas transmission.
Material Classification
Carbon steel: Iron and carbon are the main components, and the carbon content is adjusted according to the grade (e.g. low carbon steel is used for general pipework, while medium to high carbon steel is used for high-strength scenarios.
Strengthening elements: Some grades may include elements such as manganese (Mn) and silicon (Si) to enhance strength or weldability.
Performance Requirements
Tensile Strength: Grade B pipe must meet higher strength standards, with specific values based on pipe grade and size.
Pressure Resistance: EN 10208-2 pipes are suitable for medium and high-pressure piping systems transporting flammable fluids, such as natural gas and oil.

The steel grades used are required to be grade A L210GA L235GA L245GA L290GA L360GA.
