This standard specifies the ordering content, size, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of seamless steel pipes for conveying fluids.
GB/T8163 seamless steel pipes used for conveying ordinary fluids.
Steel should be smelted by electric arc furnace plus external refining or oxygen converter plus external refining.
Other methods with higher requirements can also be used for smelting after consultation between the supply and demand parties. When the demander specifies a certain smelting method, it should be indicated in the contract.
Delivery status:
Hot-rolled (expanded) GB/T8163 steel pipes can be delivered in hot-rolled (expanded) state or heat-treated state. When the demander requires delivery in heat-treated state, it should be indicated in the contract.
Cold-drawn (rolled) GB/T8163 steel pipes should be delivered in annealed or high-temperature tempered state. According to the requirements of the demander, after consultation between the supply and demand parties and indicated in the contract, cold-drawn (rolled) steel pipes can be delivered in cold-drawn (rolled) or other heat-treated states.
