DIN980V all-metal locking nuts deform the threads of the nut itself by die stamping, usually controlled at about 3 threads. After deformation, the inner diameter of the nut is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the bolt thread, thereby increasing the interference between the threads and achieving locking. This deformation can be in the form of mouth deformation, pressure point type, etc. The purpose is to make the friction between the threads much greater than that of ordinary threads, which plays an effective role in preventing loosening.
DIN980M all-metal locking nuts embed a metal sheet in the nut, and the inner diameter of the metal sheet is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the bolt thread. When the nut is tightened, the metal sheet clamps the bolt thread, thereby effectively playing a role in loosening and anti-vibration. This locking principle relies on the clamping effect of the metal sheet to ensure the stability of the connection.
