ASTM A268 TP430 steel pipe is a low-carbon, low-chromium stainless steel with good corrosion resistance, especially strong corrosion resistance to oxidizing acids, and also has certain corrosion resistance to alkali solutions and most organic and inorganic acids.
Compared with 304 stainless steel pipe, 430 stainless steel has stronger resistance to stress corrosion cracking, lower thermal expansion coefficient, higher oxidation resistance, and relatively cheap price, so it is used as a substitute for 304 stainless steel in many occasions.
