ASTM A334 6 alloy steel pipe is a high-quality seamless steel pipe made of high-quality carbon steel, low-alloy steel or stainless steel following the ASTM A334 standard. ASTM A334 Grade 6 steel pipe has an outer diameter less than 1 ⁄ 2 in. [12.7 mm], seamless and welded carbon and alloy steel pipe, suitable for use at low temperatures. Pipes shall be manufactured using a seamless or automated welding process with no filler metal added during the welding operation.
ASME SA334 Grade 6 Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe is a medium carbon steel pipe with a maximum carbon content of 0.30 % and a manganese content of 0.29 – 1.06 %. ASME SA 333 Grade 6 pipe is ductile and strong with long-term wear characteristics.

GNEE A334 steel pipe production process
a: Normalizing by heating to a uniform temperature not less than 1550 °F [845 °C] and cooling in air or in the cooling chamber of an atmosphere-controlled furnace.
b: Reheat and control the hot working and hot finishing temperatures to a finishing temperature of 1550 to 1750 °F [845 to 955°C] and cool in a controlled atmosphere furnace from an initial temperature of no less than 1550°F [ 845°C].
Inspection and testing: chemical composition analysis, tensile test, flattening test, flaring test, hardness test, impact test, non-destructive testing, surface inspection, dimensional inspection.
