A192 heat exchange tube is a seamless carbon steel boiler and superheater steel tube of American standard.
Specification A192 generally provides for pipe sizes and thicknesses from 1 in. to 7 in. [12.7 to 177.8 mm] outside diameter and minimum wall thicknesses from 0.085 to 1.000 in. [2.2 to 25.4 mm]. Other sizes may be provided provided they meet all other requirements of this specification.
Mechanical property requirements do not apply to pipe less than 5 in. [3.2 mm] inside diameter or less than 0.015 in. [0.4 mm] thick.
Requirements for water pressure test of A192 boiler tube: water pressure is applied to each tube. If specified by the purchaser, non-destructive testing can also be used instead of water pressure test.
Requirements for marking of A192 carbon steel seamless tube: In addition to the requirements of ASTM A450 /A450M standard, the marking of hot-rolled steel tube or cold-drawn steel tube should also be included.
