ASTM A106 standard pipe material is divided into three grades: Grades A, B and C. Grade A is the pipe with the least carbon, and Grade C is the pipe with the most carbon. Grade B is the most commonly used because of its higher material strength.
A106 material pipe carbon content should be ≤0.23%, yield strength should be ≥275MPa, tensile strength should be ≥485MPa, and elongation should be ≥30%.
