A334 GR.8 steel pipe is a grade in the American standard for cryogenic pipes. This pipe is mainly made of 9Ni low-carbon quenched and tempered steel, containing about 9% nickel. It has good toughness and high strength at extremely low temperatures, and can be used at temperatures as low as -195°C.
A334 GR.8 carbon steel pipe is mainly used as a terminal structural material for storing liquefied natural gas (LNG), because the storage temperature of LNG is about -162°C, requiring ultra-low temperature materials. And through surface treatment such as galvanizing or coating with special coatings to enhance its ability to resist environmental factors.
