Carbon steel pipes under JIS G3452 standard are suitable for steam, water, oil, gas, air and other pipelines with low working pressure.
JIS G3452 carbon steel pipes need to meet certain mechanical property requirements, including minimum values of tensile strength (σb) and elongation (δ). For SGP grade, the tensile strength should be at least 290MPa, and the elongation should be at least 30% (for pipe sections and S≥8mm longitudinal strips).
JIS G3452 specifies the allowable deviations of the outer diameter and wall thickness of carbon steel pipes, depending on the nominal diameter (D) of the steel pipe. For example, for a steel pipe with D=165.2mm, the allowable deviation of the outer diameter is ±0.8mm to ±1.6mm, while the allowable deviation of the wall thickness is -12.5%.
