S275JR Structural Steel Tubes Description
S275JR is a European standard carbon structural steel, commonly used in construction and various engineering structures. This steel is usually supplied in hot rolled condition and is used to make structural components such as bridges, vehicles, ships, special steel structures, etc. S275JR steel has good weldability and a certain degree of strength, with a yield strength of more than 275 MPa and a tensile strength in the range of 430-580 MPa. In addition, the steel also meets the impact test requirements, indicating that it has good toughness in low temperature environment. In the production and manufacturing process, S275JR steel is usually delivered in hot rolled, controlled rolled, normalised and normalised plus tempered condition.

① For profiles with nominal thickness >100mm, C content is negotiated.
② For long products, P and S contents are 0.005% or higher.
③ For long products, if the form of sulphide in steel is changed, the maximum value of S content is increased by 0.015% in order to improve the mechanical properties, and the chemical composition is a minimum value of 0.0020% Ca.
④ If Cu content exceeds 0.40%, thermal embrittlement can be induced during thermoforming.
⑤ Nitrogen is not used if the chemical composition is a minimum value of 0.020% of the total content of aluminium or a minimum value of 0.015% of the aluminium acid solution or when other nitrogen binder is present in the conditions of the nitrogen maximum. In this case the nitrogen binder should be recorded in the inspection documentation.
(vi) If other elements are added, this should be reflected in the inspection documentation.
