In order to effectively prevent corrosion of the inner wall of carbon steel tanks, a variety of methods can be used:
Coating anti-corrosion: This is one of the most common anti-corrosion methods and involves applying a layer of anti-corrosion paint to the inner wall of the tank to form a protective film to prevent corrosion. Commonly used coating anti-corrosion materials include epoxy resin, polyurethane, acrylic, etc.
Rubber lining: This method involves attaching a rubber material to the inner wall of the tank, using the corrosion and abrasion resistance of rubber to protect the inner wall of the tank. Rubber lining has the advantages of good corrosion resistance and long service life, but the cost is relatively high.
FRP lining: Similarly, the FRP material is attached to the inner wall of the tank, and the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of FRP are used to protect the inner wall of the tank. FRP lining is similar to FRP lining, both refer to the lining using fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) as the material in the lining plate.
Cathodic protection: This is a method that slows down or prevents corrosion by setting up a cathodic protection system in the tank so that the surface of the tank becomes a cathode. Cathodic protection has the advantages of good anti-corrosion effect and long service life, but the construction and maintenance costs are high.
Electrochemical processing: An advanced method of forming an anti-corrosion layer on the surface of the tank by performing electrochemical processing inside the tank. The advantages of this method are good anti-corrosion effect and convenient construction, but the equipment cost is high.
Metal surface cleaning: This is the most important part of anti-corrosion engineering construction, which directly affects the adhesion of the coating surface. At present, most domestic metal surface cleaning uses steel plate shot blasting construction technology, which is more environmentally friendly and more efficient than the traditional sandblasting and rust removal process.
Coating construction: After the metal surface is cleaned, high-pressure airless spraying should be used for coating construction. Specific construction steps include the spraying of primer, intermediate paint and topcoat, as well as the spraying of both sides of the weld bead.
