X56 line pipe belongs to a steel grade classification in the API 5L standard. The "X" in its name represents line steel, and "56" indicates a minimum yield strength of 56,000 psi (approximately 386 MPa). This type of pipe is typically made of carbon steel or low-alloy steel, possessing high strength and good toughness, and is suitable for medium-pressure conveying environments.

C (Carbon): ≤0.12% (Low carbon to improve weldability)

Mn (Manganese): 1.2%-1.6% (Strengthening element)

Si (Silicon): ≤0.45%

Nb (Niobium), V (Vanium), Ti (Titanium): Trace amounts (Refines grains, improves toughness)

S (Sulfur), P (Phosphorus): ≤0.015% (Low impurities improve corrosion resistance)
