13CrMo44 alloy pipe is a low-alloy heat-resistant steel pipe widely used in high-temperature and high-pressure environments.
Main Characteristics:
Good high-temperature strength: It exhibits excellent creep resistance and endurance strength at high temperatures (typically up to around 550-580°C). Molybdenum is the key element for enhancing high-temperature strength.
Hydrogen corrosion resistance: The addition of chromium and molybdenum provides a certain degree of resistance to hydrogen corrosion in high-temperature and high-pressure hydrogen-containing environments.
Good oxidation resistance: Chromium forms a protective oxide film, offering a certain level of oxidation resistance.
Good toughness and plasticity: Under appropriate heat treatment conditions, it demonstrates good comprehensive mechanical properties.
Good weldability: It belongs to the category of weldable steel grades. However, preheating and post-weld heat treatment (particularly stress-relief annealing) are usually required to prevent cold cracks and ensure the performance of the welded joint (especially toughness).
Heat Treatment State:
13CrMo44 is typically used in the normalized + tempered state.
Normalizing: Heating to approximately 900-960°C, followed by air cooling after holding. The purpose is to refine grains and homogenize the structure.
Tempering: Conducted after normalizing, with the tempering temperature usually in the range of 620 - 680°C. The purpose is to eliminate internal stresses, improve toughness and plasticity, and achieve the desired comprehensive mechanical properties.
