12Cr1MoV is mainly composed of elements such as carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), chromium (Cr), molybdenum (Mo), and iron (Fe). Among them, chromium and molybdenum are key elements in alloy steel, which can significantly improve the high-temperature resistance and oxidation resistance of the steel.
Eliminate high-pressure risks with our GB 5310 certified 12Cr1MoV tubes. Every pipe undergoes rigorous 100% UT testing and precise Normalizing & Tempering to ensure maximum creep strength at 580°C. Request our MTC 3.2 and technical test reports today: sales@gneetube.com

12Cr1MoV Alloy Steel Seamless Pipe Quality Control:
Our 12Cr1MoV tubes undergo a multi-stage verification process:
Precise Heat Treatment (The Soul of the Pipe)
The mechanical excellence of 12Cr1MoV is achieved through a strict Normalizing + Tempering process. We monitor our furnace temperatures within a ±5°C margin to ensure the pearlite and bainite structures are perfectly balanced, preventing brittleness.
100% Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
We don't settle for random sampling. Every single meter of our high-pressure tubing is subjected to:
Ultrasonic Testing (UT): To detect internal cracks or inclusions.
Eddy Current Testing (ET): To ensure surface perfection.
Hydrostatic Testing: Simulating real-world high-pressure conditions to ensure leak-proof performance.

Advanced Packaging & Alloy Protection
Anti-Corrosion Surface Treatment
Due to the high alloy content of 12Cr1MoV, certain requirements apply to the storage environment.
- Neutral Anti-rust Oiling: High-quality transparent anti-rust oil or light varnish is used. This prevents salt spray corrosion during sea transport and facilitates on-site PMI (Protein Mixture Analysis) and non-destructive testing without the need to sand down the thick paint layer.
- Internal Oiling: For high-pressure boiler tubes, we offer internal oiling protection to prevent surface rust formation in humid environments, ensuring the purity of the boiler system.

Beveled End & Precision Protection
12Cr1MoV typically requires high-precision on-site welding.
- Heavy-duty Plastic Caps: Our caps are made of high-toughness polyethylene, fitting tightly to the pipe opening to prevent moisture from entering and protecting the beveled ends from impact deformation.
- Metal Protectors (Optional): For large-diameter or thick-walled 12Cr1MoV pipes, we can add metal protectors to ensure the pipe ends remain round during hoisting.

Sea-worthy Structural Packaging
Depending on the pipe specifications (outer diameter and wall thickness), we offer different packaging methods:
- Hexagonal Bundling: Suitable for small and medium diameter boiler tubes. High-strength steel strapping is used for bundling, with fiber paper or rubber strips inserted at the binding point to prevent the steel strapping from directly contacting the alloy pipe surface and causing indentations.
- Export-Specific Wooden Cases (IPPC Wooden Cases): For small-diameter, thin-walled, or precision alloy pipes, we use fumigated wooden cases (IPPC marking). The inside of the case is lined with waterproof plastic sheeting and contains desiccant, providing the highest level of protection against moisture and mechanical damage.

Clear Marking & Traceability
- Stenciling or Imprinting: Each steel pipe is clearly marked with: Standard (GB 5310), Grade (12Cr1MoV), Heat No., and Size.
- Weather-proof Tags: Two or more metal or waterproof plastic tags are attached to the strapping to ensure that the relevant information remains clearly legible even after the goods have been stored at the dock for months.
