SA-210C carbon steel pipe is a steel grade in the ASME SA-210 standard. It is a carbon-manganese steel pipe for boilers and superheaters. It is a pearlite-type heat-strength steel.
Its chemical composition is simple, except for the higher carbon and manganese content, the rest are similar to 20G, so its yield strength is about 20% higher than 20G, while its plasticity and toughness are equivalent to 20G carbon steel pipes.
The steel has a simple production process and good hot and cold processing properties. Using it to replace 20G steel pipes can thin the wall thickness, reduce the amount of material, and improve the heat transfer of the boiler.
Its usage location and usage temperature are basically the same as those of 20G steel pipes. It is mainly used for water-cooled walls, economizers, low-temperature superheaters and other components with operating temperatures below 500°C.
