What are the specifications of A335 P5 pipe?
ASTM A335 P5/ASME SA335 P5 pipe, chromium content is 4.00% to 6.00%, molybdenum content is 0.45% to 0.65%. Also known as P5 grade chromium-molybdenum alloy pipe, it is manufactured seamlessly for use in high temperature and corrosive environments. Corresponding to the welded pipe standard in ASTM A691 5CR, it is made of ASTM A387 grade 5 steel plate.
A335 P5 pipe is a seamless alloy steel pipe for high temperature use, which belongs to the American ASTM standard.
A335 P5 pipe has the characteristics of high lasting strength, high oxidation resistance, good structural stability and good process performance. It is mainly used to make high-temperature and high-pressure boiler superheaters, reheaters, steam pipes and other components.
The chemical composition of A335 P5 pipes includes carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, molybdenum and other elements. The carbon content is controlled below 0.15%, and the chromium and molybdenum contents are 4.0%~6.0% and 0.45%~0.65% respectively. .
The production process of A335 P5 pipes includes billet heating, rough rolling, finish rolling, natural cooling, sizing, inspection, warehousing and other steps. The billet heating temperature is controlled at 1070~1180℃, and the temperature control of rough rolling and finish rolling is respectively 1000~1100℃ and 980~1050℃.
