ASTM A325 Type 3 Hexagon Bolt is a fastener used in a variety of industrial applications. The surface finish of the fastener varies.
ASTM A325 heavy hexagon structural bolts can be made from medium carbon steel, boron steel, or medium carbon alloy steel materials for Type 1 bolts. Type 2 bolts can be made from martensitic or mild steel materials. Fully threaded A325 structural bolts and nuts are also available in weathering steel Type 3.
ASTM A325 anchors and other bolts can be zinc plated as a surface treatment. Zinc plating provides an additional layer of corrosion resistance to the bolts.
