A179 carbon steel tube is similar to China's 10#, with tensile strength ≥325Mpa, yield strength ≥180Mpa, and elongation ≥35%.
A179 heat exchange tube curling performance requirements: For S/D＜10% steel tube (S is the actual average wall thickness), curling is used instead of flaring as required. The method is in accordance with ASTM A450, and the sampling is to take two steel tubes from each batch of steel tubes or their remaining parts, and cut the specimens for testing. Steel tubes that do not fall under the above regulations do not need to be curled. (A batch of tubes is 250 tubes)
A179 condenser tube water pressure test requirements: water pressure for each tube, if the purchaser agrees, non-destructive testing can be used instead of water pressure. Non-destructive testing is in accordance with ASTM A450/A450M.
A179 carbon steel seamless tube finished product marking requirements: in addition to the provisions of ASTM A450/A450M, it should also include the purchaser's name and order number.
