1 There should be no cracks, folds, scabs, folds or delamination on the inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe. These defects should be completely removed, the depth of defect removal should not exceed 10% of the grinding thickness, and the actual wall where the defects are removed should not be less than the minimum allowable wall thickness.
2 The allowable depth of the straight tracks on the inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe (including scratches by non-sharp mandrels) should comply with the following regulations
a) Cold drawn (rolled) steel pipe: no more than 4% of the wall thickness, and a maximum of 0.2 mm;
b) Hot rolled (extruded, expanded) steel pipe: no more than 5% of the wall thickness, and a maximum of 0.4 mm.
3. Other local defects that do not exceed the allowable negative deviation of the wall thickness are allowed to exist.
4 The iron oxide scale on the inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe should be removed, but a thin oxide layer that does not hinder inspection is allowed to exist.
