ASTM A588 high-strength alloy pipe is a standard specification for high-strength low-alloy weathering steel widely used in various construction and engineering structures, including four grades: Grade A, Grade B, Grade C and Grade K.
Among them, ASTM A588 Grade A structural steel pipe and B are weather-resistant steel formed by adding copper, chromium and other elements to ordinary carbon structural steel. The tensile strengths are 485 MPa (70 ksi) and 585 MPa (85 ksi) respectively, the yield strengths are 345 MPa (50 ksi) and 485 MPa (70 ksi) respectively, and the elongation is not less than 21%.
ASTM A588 Grade C alloy pipe and K further improve atmospheric corrosion resistance and crack resistance by adding more copper, nickel and other elements. Grade C has a tensile strength of 570 MPa (83 ksi), a yield strength of 460 MPa (67 ksi), and an elongation of not less than 20%.
