ASTM A606 alloy steel pipe is made of plain carbon steel with a small amount of copper, nickel and other corrosion-resistant elements added. It has the characteristics of high-quality steel such as strength, plasticity, shaping, welding, abrasion, high temperature, and fatigue resistance. Its weather resistance is 2 to 8 times that of ordinary carbon steel, and its paintability is 1.5 to 10 times that of ordinary carbon steel. At the same time, it also has the characteristics of rust resistance, corrosion resistance and life extension of components, thinning and consumption reduction, labor saving and energy saving.
ASTM A606 weather-resistant steel pipe is mainly used for steel structures such as railways, vehicles, bridges, and towers that are exposed to the atmosphere for a long time.
ASTM A606 pipes come in both seamless and welded varieties, depending on the application they will be used for. Generally speaking, they have excellent strength characteristics and can withstand temperatures up to 600°F (316°C).
