API 5CT L80 grade casing is a special type of casing used in petroleum and oil drilling industrial applications. These casings are available in different sizes and specifications including wall thickness ranging from 4 mm to 16 mm and outer diameter ranging from 12 mm to 508mm. These pipes can be equipped with different thread types, such as STC, LTC, BC, XC and even BTC, suitable for different application environments.
L80 grade steel pipe is a medium-grade steel pipe with medium-level elements, including 9% chromium, that provides high strength and is suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure systems. API 5CT Grade L80 casing is a controlled yield strength material with hardness testing requirements commonly used in wells in sour (hydrogen sulfide) environments. The casing is available in sizes from 114.3 mm (4.5 inches) to 406.4 mm (16 inches), while the tubing is available in sizes from 26.7 mm (1.05 inches) to 114.3 mm (4.5 inches). L80 is a corrosion-resistant casing steel type. API Grade L80 pipes include L80-1, L80-9Cr and L80-13Cr. L80-1 pipe is used in H2S environment, while L80-9Cr and L80-13Cr are used in CO2 environment.
