Fluid conveyance pipes‌ are seamless steel tubes used for transporting fluids such as water, oil, and gas, manufactured in accordance with standards ‌ASTM A53, ASTM A106, JIS G3454, and JIS G3455‌. They are classified into two types based on production methods: ‌hot-rolled (extruded)‌ and ‌cold-drawn (rolled)‌.

These pipes feature a ‌hollow cross-section‌, are ‌seamless and lightweight‌, and reduce material consumption while maintaining equivalent bending and torsional strength. They are widely used in ‌pipeline transportation‌ of petroleum, natural gas, and煤气 (gas), as well as in ‌mechanical component manufacturing‌.

The production process includes:

Hot-rolled method‌: heating round billet, piercing, and forming.

Cold-drawn method‌: pickling, annealing, and multi-pass processing.
Finished pipes undergo ‌hydrostatic testing‌ or ‌NDT (non-destructive testing)‌ for quality assurance.

Cold-drawn (rolled) seamless steel pipes:

Round billet → ‌Heating‌ → ‌Piercing‌ → ‌Upsetting (heading)‌ → ‌Annealing‌ → ‌Pickling‌ → ‌Oiling (copper plating)‌ → ‌Multi-pass cold drawing (cold rolling)‌ → ‌Blanking tube‌ → ‌Heat treatment‌ → ‌Straightening‌ → ‌Hydrostatic testing (NDT)‌ → ‌Marking‌ → ‌Warehousing‌.
