S235JR structural carbon steel pipe Description
S235JR is an unalloyed structural steel that is mainly used in the manufacture of various structural components such as welded, bolted and riveted structures.
Properties:
Good plasticity, toughness, weldability and cold stamping properties.
Some strength and good cold bending properties.
Applications:
Widely used for general requirements of parts and welded structural parts, such as tie rods, connecting rods, pins, shafts, screws, nuts, collars, brackets, seats, building structures, bridges and so on.
Surface Finish:
Common grade surface (FA) and higher grade surface (FB) are available, the latter allows for local defects that do not affect formability, such as minor scratches, minor indentations, minor pockmarks, minor roll marks and colour differences.
Due to its excellent performance and wide applicability, S235JR has a wide range of applications in many fields such as offshore wind power, high speed railway and metro deep foundations, waterway dredging, wharf and bridge pile foundations, urban pipeline networks, steel structures, and extra-high-voltage power transmission grids.
