‌In pipeline systems, bends are fittings used to change the direction of the piping. By angle classification, the most commonly used are 45°, 90° and 180° three types, and additionally according to engineering requirements, they also include 60° and other non-standard angle elbows. Common elbow dimensions include 3D, 5D and 7D,  7D elbow refers to the elbow diameter being seven times the pipe diameter.‌
