What is 15m03 material?

The boiler 15Mo3 alloy pipe is a thick-walled round tube made of 15Mo3 material, primarily used in low and medium-pressure boiler heating surfaces with working pressure not exceeding 5.88 MPa and temperatures below 450°C, as well as in economizers and superheaters of high-pressure boilers. Its tensile strength ranges from 450 to 600 MPa, with a yield strength of ≥270 MPa.

The pipe undergoes oil quenching and hardening, with a quenching temperature range of 800 to 850°C and tempering temperatures controlled between 150°C and 200°C, achieving a hardness of above HRC60 after treatment. The product is available in a wide range of specifications, and when the thickness does not exceed 8 mm, it can be applied in industrial fields such as punching dies and stamping dies.

 

15mo3 material equivalent

DIN 17155 15Mo3 steel is mainly used for boilers and pressure vessels with elevated temperatures which is equivalent to EN10028 16Mo3 and UNI5869 15Mo3, 15D3 (NFA 36205 ) and ASTM A204Gr.
