ST35.8 is a German boiler and pressure vessel steel pipe material that complies with the DIN 17175 standard.
Chemical Composition: Carbon content ≤0.17%, manganese content 0.40-1.20%
Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength 360-480 MPa, guaranteed high-temperature yield strength
Special Requirements: Hydrostatic testing and ultrasonic inspection are required.
The ST35.8 seamless steel pipe is primarily produced through two methods: hot rolling and cold drawing.
Hot Rolling Process: The billet is heated to around 1200°C for piercing and rolling. This method offers high production efficiency, making it suitable for large-scale manufacturing.
Cold Drawing Process: The steel pipe is drawn through a die at room temperature. This method yields pipes with higher dimensional accuracy and better surface finish, albeit at a relatively higher production cost.
Regardless of the process, strict online inspection and quality control are mandatory, including ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, and hydrostatic testing, to ensure every pipe meets the required standards.
GNEE Group is capable of producing ST35.8 seamless steel pipes in various sizes, ranging from 6mm to 1200mm in diameter, catering to diverse industrial needs.
The ST35.8 seamless steel pipe, with its high-temperature and high-pressure resistance, is primarily used in the following scenarios:
Boiler Manufacturing Industry: For manufacturing key components such as superheater tubes, reheater tubes, and steam guide pipes in various steam boilers.
Petrochemical Field: For conveying high-temperature and high-pressure oil and gas media.
Power Industry: For the heating surface piping systems in power plant boilers. Additionally, it finds wide applications in mechanical manufacturing, automotive industry, and other fields. Particularly in the construction of ultra-supercritical unit boilers, the ST35.8 seamless steel pipe has become an indispensable material due to its ability to maintain excellent performance even at 570°C.
