ASTM A106 Grade B pipe is one of the most widely used seamless steel pipes in different industries. Not only used in pipeline systems such as oil, gas, water, and slurry transportation, but also used in boilers, buildings, and structural purposes.
ASTM A106 Standard Specification
ASTM A106 is the standard specification for seamless carbon steel pipe for high temperature service.
ASTM A106 Grade B Seamless Pipe Dimensions Chart
The standard covers NPS (National Standard Straight-through) pipe sizes from 1/8 inch to 48 inches (10.3mm DN6 - 1219mm DN1200) while complying with standard ASME B 36.10M nominal wall thickness. The use of this standard specification is permitted for sizes other than ASME B 36.10M.
Materials used in ASTM A106 Standard Specifications shall be suitable for bending, flanging, or similar forming processes. If steel is to be welded, the welding procedure should be suitable for that grade of ASTM A106 and suitable for high-temperature service environments.
If there are advanced or higher grade requirements for ASTM A106 steel pipe, the standard has an optional supplemental requirement specification for pipe using that standard. Additionally, these supplemental specifications require additional testing when placing an order.

Grade B seamless pipe
ASTM A106 standard specification seamless steel pipe has three grades, namely ASTM A106 Gr. One grade. B and C, the higher the material grade, the better the strength performance.
Test Methods
The test methods of ASTM A106 A, B, and C are flattening test, hydrostatic test, non-destructive electrical test, ultrasonic test, eddy current test, and magnetic flux leakage test. These test procedures should be notified or discussed with the customer to confirm which test method will be applied. test.
