ASTM A500 carbon steel structural pipe is a welded pipe and seamless pipe with an outer circumference of 88 inches (2235 mm) and below and a wall thickness of 0.875 inches (22 mm) and below.

ASTM A500 carbon steel structural pipe is mainly used for cold forming welding of round steel and section steel and the quality standard of seamless carbon steel structural pipe. For steel pipes with an outer diameter specified not to exceed 1.9 inches (48.3mm), the change in the outer diameter shall not exceed 0.5%, and the specific value shall not exceed 0.005 inches (0.13mm). For steel pipes with a specified outer diameter less than 2.00 inches (50.8mm), the change in outer diameter shall not exceed 0.75%, and the specific value shall not exceed 0.005 inches (0.13mm).
