FBE anti-corrosion steel pipe is an anti-corrosion steel pipe that has been treated with electrostatic spraying epoxy powder for anti-corrosion.
FBE epoxy powder anti-corrosion structure: The electrostatic spraying process is used to coat the surface of the steel pipe with epoxy powder to form a film. The coating has the advantages of easy coating operation, no pollution, good impact resistance and bending resistance of the coating, and high temperature resistance.
Due to its long-term performance, fused-bonded epoxy (FBE) has been used for more than 40 years as a stand-alone coating in single or two-layer systems and as a primer in multi-layer systems, making it the standard coating material used for pipeline corrosion protection worldwide.
As the oil and gas transportation industry grows, so does the search for ways to reduce pipeline corrosion, spurring the development of new fused epoxy (FBE) anti-corrosion coatings, resulting in FBE anti-corrosion steel pipes.
FBE anti-corrosion steel pipe refers to anti-corrosion steel pipe that has been anti-corrosion treated with electrostatic spraying epoxy powder. It has the advantages of anti-corrosion, high strength, and not easy to be damaged.
Epoxy powder anti-corrosion steel pipe surface treatment.
1. Basic treatment: use organic solvents to remove oil stains on the surface of the steel pipe. The steel pipe is transferred to the intermediate frequency heating device through a conveyor belt. The intermediate frequency preheating (preheating temperature is about 60°C) removes oil stains, water, moisture, etc.
2. Sandblasting: Use a centrifugal shot blasting machine to sandblast the surface of the high-speed steel pipe to remove the rust layer and clean the surface dust. It reaches Sa2.5 rust removal level with a roughness of 40 to 100mm.
3. Rust removal test, first visually inspect the defective steel pipe for repair or removal, and then use a roughness measuring instrument to test the rust removal level according to the test frequency scale. Epoxy powder anti-corrosion steel pipe powder coating
FBE epoxy powder is first fully fluidized in a fluidized bed, and then passes through an electrostatic spray gun to make the powder particles negatively charged and evenly discharged on the surface of the preheated steel pipe. A small amount of dispersed powder can be recovered through the recovery system without causing dust pollution. The coating thickness is adjusted according to powder dosage, production speed and other requirements, and the design thickness is 400-1200mm.
