What Is The Composition Of ASTM A213 T12?

Mar 20, 2024 Leave a message

ASTM A213 T12 pipe is made of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, at least 0.8% chromium and 0.44% molybdenum with a minimum yield strength of 205MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 415MPa.
Among them, ASTM A213 T12 alloy steel seamless pipe is the most used due to its precise dimensions. Pipe sizes may vary based on ASTM, ASME, and API standards.
Wall thicknesses range from 1 mm to 200 mm, lengths up to 2500 mm, and outer diameters from 1/2 inch to 5 inches.
ASTM A213 Grade T12 pipe can be heat treated using full or isothermal annealing or normalizing and tempering methods. Traditional welding methods do not require preheating, but when using oxyacetylene welding or submerged arc welding, the material must be preheated and post-weld heat treated.
