Stainless steel 316 (316):
Chemical composition: Stainless steel 316 is mainly composed of elements such as chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo) and a small amount of carbon (C). The usual chemical composition is: Cr 16-18%, Ni 10-14%, Mo 2-3%, C ≤0.08%.
Features: Good corrosion resistance, especially in acidic and salty environments. Suitable for applications in general corrosive environments, such as chemical industry, marine environment, etc.
Stainless steel 316L (316L):
Chemical Composition: Stainless steel 316L is a low-carbon version of 316, which has a lower carbon content. The usual chemical composition is: Cr 16-18%, Ni 10-14%, Mo 2-3%, C ≤0.03%.
Features: Due to its low carbon content, 316L is not prone to carbide precipitation during the welding process, so it is superior to 316 in welding performance and corrosion resistance. Suitable for applications requiring welding or requiring lower carbon content, such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food industry, etc.
Stainless steel 316Ti (316Ti):
Chemical composition: Stainless steel 316Ti is based on 316 with added titanium (Ti) element. The usual chemical composition is: Cr 16-18%, Ni 10-14%, Mo 2-3%, Ti 5×(C+N)%.
Features: The addition of titanium increases the corrosion resistance of 316Ti, especially in high temperature environments, and helps inhibit the formation of carbides. Suitable for high temperature and corrosive environments, such as high temperature equipment, burners, petroleum industry, etc. in the chemical industry.
