DIN 1663 is the German industrial standard for non-metallic insert locking hexagonal flange nuts.
DIN 1663 nuts have a hexagonal appearance and flange surface, which is convenient for tightening with tools such as wrenches. The design of the flange surface increases the contact area between the nut and the connected parts, improving the stability of the connection.
DIN 1663 nuts are embedded with non-metallic materials such as nylon. These materials will produce a certain elastic deformation after the nut and bolt are tightened, thereby increasing the friction between the nut and the bolt to achieve an anti-loosening effect.
