DIN 7965 Screwed Inserts (Screw Plugs)
When installing DIN 7965 slotted threaded inserts, the following points should be noted:
1. Pre-drilling: Depending on the processing material, it is necessary to refer to the drilling size specifications for pre-drilling. For materials with higher hardness, it is recommended to slightly increase the bottom hole within the drilling range.
2. Vertical installation: The slotted end of the screw sleeve is facing down and fully installed into the front end of the tool. It needs to contact the workpiece vertically. When installing (1-2 pitches), it is necessary to confirm that it is aligned with the bottom hole and must not be tilted. Once tilting is found, it should be stopped immediately and readjusted before use. After entering 1/3-1/2, it cannot be readjusted.
3. Assembly requirements: After assembly, the self-tapping screw should be at least 1mm below the surface of the part to ensure its effective operation and prevent damage caused by accidental contact.
