Description

321 seamless steel pipe is made by adding Ti element to 304 seamless steel pipe to prevent grain boundary corrosion; it is suitable for use at temperatures of 430℃-900℃. A grade of stainless steel produced in accordance with American ASTM standards. Equivalent to China's 0Cr18Ni10Ti stainless steel pipe. Mainly used in aircraft, exhaust pipes, and boiler drums. 321 seamless stainless steel pipe has excellent high temperature stress breaking performance and high temperature creep resistance. The stress mechanical properties are better than 304 seamless steel pipe.

321H stainless steel tube (foreign name: ASME SA213 TP321H) is a metallic tubular material used in outdoor equipment in the chemical, coal, and petroleum industries where high resistance to intergranular corrosion is required, primarily employed in industrial applications such as boiler piping, heat exchangers, and other high-temperature, high-pressure, corrosive environments, as well as in heat-resistant components for construction materials and parts for which heat treatment is difficult.

Heat Treatment of 321 Stainless Steel Pipes and Tubes

Heat to 950-1120°C and cool quickly for maximum corrosion resistance. Stabilization treatment: Heating to 870-900℃ for every 25mm thickness and holding for 1 hour, then air cooling. For the most severe service conditions (above 425°C), stabilization is recommended, especially for materials annealed at the upper end of the annealing temperature range. Heat to 700°C and hold for 1-2 hours, then air cool. These grades cannot be hardened by heat treatment.
