UNS S31603 steel pipe is an improved ultra-low carbon Cr-Ni-Mo austenitic stainless steel, also known as AISI 316L stainless steel. It is improved on the basic AISI 316 stainless steel pipe and has excellent performance and a wide range of applications.
UNS S31603 stainless steel acid-resistant pipe has excellent corrosion resistance and performs well in certain applications with corrosive environments. Its acid resistance is outstanding in phosphoric acid, acetic acid and dilute hydrochloric acid solutions, and it also has good corrosion resistance in environments such as sulfuric acid. Additionally, it has a high resistance to stress corrosion cracking.

The mechanical properties of S31603 stainless steel pipe are also excellent. In the annealed state, its tensile strength and yield strength reach 70 ksi (approximately 485 MPa) and 25 ksi (approximately 170 MPa) respectively. In addition, UNS S31603 also has good ductility and impact toughness.
This stainless steel has a melting point between 1375-1400℃ (2500-2550℉) and a density of 8.0 g/cm3. Its thermal conductivity is 14.0-15.9 W/m·K, and its thermal expansion coefficient is 13.0-14.0×10-6/K.
