EN 10025 S355J2G3 Structural Steel Carbon Pipe (commonly known as steel pipe or seamless steel pipe) is a tubular product made of S355J2G3 steel, mainly used in structural applications that need to withstand high pressures and/or high stresses.
The "S" in S355J2G3 seamless structural pipe represents structural steel, "355" refers to its yield strength (unit: MPa), and "J2" and "G3" refer to the impact toughness level. Specifically, "J2" means that the longitudinal impact toughness of the steel is qualified at -20°C, and "G3" means that the transverse impact toughness of the steel is qualified at -40°C.
S355J2G3 carbon steel pipe is European standard steel with the following composition: C≤0.20, Si≤0.55, Mn≤1.60, P≤0.035, S≤0.035. J2G3 indicates that the delivery status is normalizing, the impact power at -20℃ is 27J, and G3 and G4 indicate the deoxidation mode. S355J2G3 stands for semi-killed steel. A relatively similar material in China is Q345D.
