A312 317 stainless steel pipe is a molybdenum-based austenitic stainless steel tubing with superior pitting corrosion resistance compared to 316 stainless steel, commonly used as dyeing equipment material. Produced under the ASTM standard, it corresponds to the Chinese grade 00Cr19Ni13Mo3 (ultra-low-carbon steel) and exhibits enhanced intergranular corrosion resistance.
Its chemical composition-chromium (18.0-20.0%), nickel (11.0-15.0%), and molybdenum (3.0-4.0%)-is specifically designed for highly corrosive environments such as chemical ships and reactors. Through solution heat treatment (1010-1150°C with rapid cooling), 317L stainless steel pipe achieves high elongation (≥35%) and tensile strength (≥480MPa), making it widely used in chemical equipment manufacturing.
