Seamless steel pipe (4130 steel pipe) chromium-molybdenum alloy steel pipe for automobile roll cage
AISI 4130 domestic brand 30CrMo is an alloy steel containing chromium and molybdenum. The tensile strength is generally above 750MPa. What is mainly seen on the market are bars and thick plates. Thin-walled 4130 steel pipes are used to make bicycle frames. IA and China Automobile Federation's regulations on steel pipe materials for racing roll cages: cold-drawn seamless steel pipes.
4130 alloy steel pipe contains carbon 0.26~0.34, silicon 0.17~0.37, manganese 0.40~0.70, molybdenum 0.15~0.25, chromium 0.80~1.10. 4130 is equivalent to Japanese SCM430. This steel has high strength and toughness, high hardenability, and the critical hardenable diameter in oil is 15-70mm. The steel also has good thermal strength, with sufficient high-temperature strength below 500°C, but the strength drops significantly at 550°C.

Mechanical behavior:
Tensile Strength: 85,000 - 105,000 psi
Yield Strength: 70,000 - 90,000 psi
Elongation: 20-30%
application:
4130 steel pipe has applications in a variety of industries, including:
Aerospace: Used to manufacture aircraft components such as landing gear, structural parts, and engine components.
Automotive: Commonly used in the manufacture of racing components, chassis and suspension systems.
Oil and Gas: Used to manufacture components for the oil and gas industry, including downhole tools and tubing. Due to its strength and versatility, it is suitable for a variety of structural and mechanical applications. 4130 steel has good weldability and can be easily welded using conventional welding methods. Steel can be heat treated to obtain desired mechanical properties, such as increased strength.
