1. Vertical storage: suitable for steel pipes with smaller diameter and shorter length. Steel pipes should be placed on a horizontal bottom plate or positioning pallet to avoid deformation and damage. In order to maintain the verticality of the steel pipe, a support should be set up against the wall on one side, while a support or fixator can also be set up on the other side. The sides of the steel pipe should be kept ventilated to allow air circulation and prevent condensation on the surface from forming rust.
2. Horizontal storage: suitable for steel pipes with larger diameter and longer length. Place the steel pipe horizontally on a horizontal base and use braces to support it. During the support process, attention should be paid to the material and quantity of the braces to bear the weight of the steel pipe and avoid deformation. Horizontal storage saves more space than vertical storage.
3. Hanging storage: suitable for longer steel pipes. Hang the pipe vertically on hooks to prevent bending or other damage during storage. The hanging storage method not only saves space, but also reduces the waste of materials.
2. Outdoor storage methods
1. Site selection: When storing outdoors, first choose a dry and ventilated site, and then use rainproof and sunshade measures. In addition, in order to prevent steel pipes from being damaged by other materials during storage, steel pipes should be stored at a distance of more than 1m from other materials.
2. Anti-rust protection: Steel pipes stored outdoors should be inspected regularly and coated with anti-rust oil. The interval between oiling is generally 3-6 months, which can be determined based on factors such as environmental humidity and temperature.
3. Regular maintenance: Regularly check the storage area and storage method to ensure that the steel pipe is in a stable condition. If the steel pipe is found to be deformed or damaged, it should be replaced in time or effective measures should be taken to repair it.
