1. Domestic equivalents
A333 Gr3 has the following domestic equivalents in terms of chemical composition and low-temperature properties:

09Mn2VDG:
Conforms to GB/T 18984-2003 standard, applicable to -70℃ low-temperature environment, carbon content ≤0.12%, manganese content ≤1.60%, close to the carbon and manganese range of A333 Gr3.
06Ni3MoDG:
Also belongs to the low temperature seamless steel pipe material, nickel content of about 3% or so, suitable for -100 ℃ below the extreme low-temperature conditions, and A333 Gr3 nickel alloying design (3.18% ~ 3.82% Ni) is highly compatible.
09MnNiDR:
Implementing GB 3531-2014 standard, mainly used for -70℃ low temperature pressure vessels, its carbon and manganese content is similar to A333 Gr3, but the nickel content is slightly lower (about 0.5%~1.0%).

3. Application Scenario Suitability
Low temperature piping system:
Domestic 06Ni3MoDG and 09Mn2VDG seamless steel tubes are widely used in liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks, low-temperature heat exchangers and other scenarios, which are consistent with the petrochemical and natural gas transmission uses of A333 Gr3 .
Pressure vessels:
Although 09MnNiDR has a lower nickel content, it can still replace A333 Gr3 for low-temperature storage tanks and pipelines below -70℃.
4. Differences in standards and processes
Heat treatment requirements:
A333 Gr3 is usually delivered in normalised condition, while the domestic counterparts (e.g. 06Ni3MoDG) need to be normalised + tempered to optimise low temperature toughness.
Impact test temperature:
A333 Gr3 is required to pass the impact test at -100℃, while the domestic impact test temperature of 06Ni3MoDG covers the range of -100℃~-196℃, which is more adaptable.
