A333Gr3 cryogenic pipe is a type of steel pipe used in low-temperature environments, primarily for pipeline systems transporting cryogenic media. The steel used in A333Gr3 cryogenic pipe possesses certain low-temperature resistance and can be used in environments below -45℃.
A333Gr3 cryogenic pipe is made of A333Gr3 steel. The main components of A333Gr3 steel are carbon, silicon, manganese, sulfur, and phosphorus, with a low carbon content and high purity, resulting in excellent low-temperature resistance.
● Main Components (%):
Carbon (C) 0.12
Silicon (Si) 0.25
Manganese (Mn) 0.48
Nickel (Ni) 3.78
Phosphorus (P) 0.011
Sulfur (S) 0.004
● Mechanical Properties:
Tensile Strength (σb): ≥450MPa
Yield Strength (δs): ≥240MPa
Elongation (δ5): ≥20%

● Characteristics and Applications:
A333Gr3 steel is a fine-grained steel with a ferrite matrix. The finer the grain size, the better the toughness. The nominal composition of this steel is 3.5%Ni, abbreviated as 3.5Ni steel. Ni significantly improves the toughness of the matrix. It contains a certain amount of Mn and Si, and has a relatively high Mn/C ratio (Mn/C=4), which is beneficial for improving toughness. With relatively low yield strength and low levels of sulfur (S) and phosphorus (P) impurities, this type of steel exhibits good low-temperature performance, reducing its susceptibility to brittle fracture.
Due to its excellent low-temperature performance, A333Gr3 steel pipes are widely used in medium- and low-pressure cryogenic process pipelines in ethylene plants operating at -46 to -100°C.
● Supply Specifications:
GNEE Group supplies A333Gr3 steel pipes with the following specifications: outer diameter Φ8-1250mm × wall thickness 1-200mm × length 4000-13000mm.
