ASME SA192 and ASTM A192 are carbon steel and manganese boiler tubes used in high-pressure applications, commonly found in superheaters, water-cooled panels, heat exchangers, condensers and other equipment. They are widely used in industries such as shipbuilding, oil refining, pulp and petrochemicals. In addition, these pipes are also commonly used in coal, thermal and petroleum power plants.
ASTM A192 steel boiler tubes must be manufactured using a seamless process with the option of hot or cold finishing. For hot-finished pipes, no further heat treatment is required; for cold-finished pipes, we will heat treat them at 1200°F [650°C] or higher after final cold working to ensure their performance.
ASTM A192 seamless carbon steel boiler tubes are usually used for high-pressure boilers with working pressures not exceeding 9.8Mpa. These pipes are available in hot rolled and cold drawn conditions.
