ASTM A209 seamless alloy steel pipe is an American standard alloy steel pipe. It not only has high oxidation resistance and high temperature steam corrosion resistance, but also has good impact toughness, high and stable long-lasting plasticity and hot strength properties.
ASTM A209 is a standard specification for seamless carbon-molybdenum alloy steel boiler and superheater tubes, including three grades: ASTM A209 T1, ASTM A209 T1a, ASTM A209 T1b.
SA209 T1A pipe is a carbon-molybdenum alloy steel seamless pipe used for boilers, boiler flues, and superheaters.
When the operating temperature of A209 boiler tube is lower than 620°C, its allowable stress is higher than that of austenitic stainless steel. It is mainly used for super boiler tubes, high temperature superheaters, reheater steel tubes, high temperature headers and steam pipes. It can also be used as nuclear power heat exchangers and petroleum cracking unit furnace tubes.
